President; Board Member; Outreach Chair
Dave is a native Oregonian, growing up in the southern region of the state. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southern Oregon State University. He began his career in the timber industry, and then moved to the automotive industry. He started his first retail tire dealership in the early 1980s, adding two more over the next few years.
After selling those businesses, he became COO of a large retail chain in the Northwest. Dave was in charge of operations, warehousing, and all supply chain logistics. His other duties were in developing branding and retail sales promotion for the group.
In 2007 he was offered and accepted a General Manager position with one of largest wholesale tire distributors in the US—his responsibilities to design, open and operate a distribution center in Portland. His division distributes product throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.
Dave is married to the love of his life, Bonneary, a beautiful Cambodian woman. Bonneary and Dave have four children – Sharah, Nitiya, Satheara, and Darren. He has been a member of the Rotary International, served on the Board of Directors at Umpqua Community College, and past president of the Northwest Tire Dealers Association.
Dave is proud to be a “Cambodian”, and very proud of being part of the Golden Leaf Education Foundation in its efforts to grow new Seedlings thru better education.
