Public Relations Director
Grace Stratton was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She loves this city and grew to love it even more during her time as the 2006 Rose Festival Queen.
Grace graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. from the School of Journalism and Communication. While her focus was in Electronic Media, she found her true passion lies in community work.
During her time at the University of Oregon, she joined Alpha Phi Omega, Zeta Psi chapter (APO), a co-ed community service organization that is completely student run. She served as Recruitment Chair and then President for APO. She participated in numerous campus activities, including Dance Marathon and University Day. She also co-chaired and ran an APO event called Potluck in the Park, which fed nearly 200 low-income and homeless Eugene residents.
Her journalism experience includes internships with KMTR NewsSource 16 in Eugene and CBS News in New York, NY. She was a member of the National Broadcast Society and was a free lance writer for Ethos Magazine (formally KD Magazine).
Now that she has recently moved back to Portland, she is looking to become heavily involved with GLEF and to continue to build her skills as a journalist.
Grace enjoys volunteering, running, reading, writing and spending time with her family and friends.
