Events Chair
Executive Secretary for the Scottish Rite in Oregon since 2008, Connie has a multi-career background where she developed her organizational and fund-raising skills which she brings to support the activities of the Golden Leaf Education Foundation as a charter Board member. She is a native Oregonian and graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Political Science (City Planning) and a minor in Geography.
Living in Venezuela as a child, she gained an international perspective young in life and has traveled to many parts of the world many times. Beyond her work at the Scottish Rite, life is now focused around her husband, David Shipley, their membership in the Royal Rosarians, her work on the Boards of Golden Leaf Education Foundation and Kiwanis Club of Portland, and some spiritually oriented activities.
Connie enjoys bringing people together of similar interests so that everyone she works with can together make the world a better place.
